Words to be banished from 2006

Lake Superior State University in Michigan has released its annual list of words or phrases it feels should be banned for misuse.

Some on the list are:
1. "Ask your doctor," - that annoying catchphrase from pharmaceutical commercials, which the list terms "the chewable vitamin morphine of marketing."

2. The use of "boast" in real estate listings- with one commenter reportedly noting that, "master bedroom boasts his-and-her fireplaces - never 'bathroom apologizes for cracked linoleum.'"

3.
"Truthiness," spawned by Comedy Central satirist Stephen Colbert.

4.
Any combination of celebrity couple's names, such as Brangelina or TomKat. One contributor noted that the practice of combining names was "so lame and pathetic that it's 'lamethetic.'"

What words or phrases do you think should be banished for misuse in 2006? Let's make a list of our own!!
